@SINEAD Yes, I arranged my university courses around the two Belgian shows. Sorry I'm not in the right mind. She means a lot to me for reasons I won't elaborate for you. In other words: fuck you.

Sorry to hear that: though I was looking forward to seeing you again, I believe you tried everything to make these shows possible. It can't be nice having to read the negative messages after you tried to make it work. A lot of people, including myself, don't think about the logistical nightmare of a tour. Anyway, it's your record and if you can't perform the shows like you wanted to, I'm sure you'd be frustrated, so I understand and respect your decision, however hard it must have been. Try and think that most vitriolic fans only reacted out of frustration because they wanted to see you live. Actually, your blog did help because - between the lines - it showed your frustration of having to cancel these shows. I'm pretty sure you've started brewing on some form of revenge for the cancelled part of the tour and we will all look forward to the day that arrives, in whatever form: a new tour, a song, or ??? Keep your head up and we'll see you again, someday.

I know you're upset, you're allowed to be. Just don't be angry at Marina because it's not her fault, because as she said, she did everything she could. She'll be back in Europe someday. I've had plenty of artists postpone and cancel shows, it's just what happens sometimes.

And another thing...people saying that she'll get more money in the US? Are you stupid? US are known for having smaller crowds, especially for not so well-known artists. She's LOSING money by having to cancel this European tour. My favorite band is only touring Europe this year because they know they won't make shit if they toured the US. Europe has bigger crowds, bigger venues, and more fans. So a big "fuck you" to all the people taking the piss out of the US.

I can't believe some of the shitty comments I'm reading. All of you should be fucking ashamed of yourselves. It's not like Marina didn't want to do this tour, it's that she COULDN'T. @ AMERICANISM, I don't want you to take this the wrong way & I'm certainly not looking to start an argument or even belittle the monetary value involved, but when you consider the fact that the concert tickets will be refunded, and to my knowledge (or a least from my experience) when you book a hotel that's literally all you do as they don't usually charge you until your checking out, although you might have to pay a deposit, either way if you give them enough cancellation notice you shouldn't be charged at all.

However the part that really bothered me was when you said " the worst is that my entire second semester at university is totally fucked up now because I only took courses that would allow me to come to the shows in Belgium", I mean really? Who in the right mind arranges university courses around going to a concert? You can't put that burden on someone else's back, it's downright unfair and cruel. I'm sure Marina feels bad enough without having that shoved in her face.

@Marina, Chin up kid, It can't have been an easy decision, and it's unfortunate but these things happen for a reason. Those of us who adore and respect you will understand & support you.
